AI Solutions (AIS) has over 15 years experience providing workplace training services, such as training program development and planning, training session design, training of trainers, strategic planning, design and delivery of adult participatory training, and logistical coordination

AIS developed the Training for Information Technology (IT) Jobs (TrainIT), a program targeted at the youth, including segments of the population that are severely underrepresented and underserved in IT occupations as well as Adult workers who have been displaced or are at risk of losing their jobs. The specific set of capabilities and activities pursued by the program are driven by the needs of Technology and advanced manufacturing firms.

Open Source
AIS has extensive experience helping individuals and organizations adopt and/or integrate open source technologies, by providing training and reliable 24/7 technical support.

With funding from Health & Human Services/Centers for Disease Control, AIS is employing open source software in developing an online Monitoring and Evaluation training/retraining program designed to improve the overall capacity of healthcare workers for efficiently monitoring and evaluating the response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in The Republics of Kenya and Uganda.

Using an open source Course Management System (CMS), AIS is developing a virtual classroom for the Durham Housing Authority (DHA) to deliver online GED training to its predominantly adult residents.

Computer Recycling Program (part of the Technology Access Program)
The Technology Access Program also accepts donations of used computers. With the help of volunteers the donated computers are cleaned up and in some cases upgraded. All our refurbished computers come standard with Ubuntu OS and OpenOffice.org office suite pre-installed. But unlike other computer recycling programs, we make the refurbished computers available to qualifying individuals and low-income families COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE!
